FAQ – Your Digital Phone Assistant KIA
Who is KIA?
KIA is our new AI phone assistant who provides you with round-the-clock support over the phone. She helps you schedule appointments, perform initial medical assessments (triage), and log requests for our practice team.
What languages does KIA speak?
KIA communicates in German, English, French, and Italian.
What can KIA do for me?
KIA assists you with the following tasks:
Practice-related matters
- Schedule doctor’s appointments
- Medical triage (assess urgency)
- Forward urgent cases directly to our practice staff
- Record requests, e.g.:
- Prescription orders
- Medical prescriptions
- Callback requests
- General questions
24/7 availability
You can reach KIA at any time of the day or night, even outside our office hours. KIA can handle up to 50 calls simultaneously, thereby reducing wait times.
What cannot KIA do?
Please note that KIA currently cannot perform any of the following tasks:
Appointment changes
- No appointment cancellations
- No rescheduling of appointments
- No information about existing appointments
Medical advice
KIA does not make diagnoses or provide medical recommendations.
It is intended solely to assess the urgency of your situation and forward your request.
How does KIA’s triage process work?
KIA will ask you a few brief questions about your symptoms.
Based on this information, KIA will determine:
- whether your concern is urgent → immediate transfer to our practice staff
- whether an appointment should be scheduled
- or whether your concern will be forwarded to our team as a task
How is my data protected?
Your personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy.
Can I still speak directly to a staff member?
Yes.
In emergencies, KIA will connect you automatically.
During regular business hours, you can also reach our practice staff by phone at any time by pressing 2.
Does using KIA cost anything?
No. Using our AI phone assistant is free of charge.
