Ticks transmit diseases - How can you protect yourself?
TBE (tick-borne encephalitis) is a viral disease that can be transmitted by ticks. The disease can lead to permanent damage to the nervous system. However, you can be vaccinated against it. The TBE vaccination is recommended by the Federal Office of Public Health for all adults and children (from school age). The vaccination is covered by basic insurance. Ask your doctor for advice.
